Creative Writing Contests Without entry fees

The Peggy Chapman-Andrews
Creative Loafing (est. 1972), an Atlanta-based newsweekly of cultural arts, is accepting entries for this year's Fiction Contest, which will award a first prize of $500, a second prize of $250, and a third prize of $100. All finalists will be published in an issue of Creative Loafing.

The contest is open to Georgia residents only. The theme is on "Race"-fiction stories that interpret what the word "race" means to the writer. It can be a motif, a trope, a meaning, a literal definition, etc. "Race" has innumerable meanings, from ethnic color to a movement of urgency. Word length is under 3K words.
